NOTES.
Intended use. The Simazine herbicides are pre-emergence herbicides intended for use in the non-selective control of vegetation on non-cropland in storage yards and parking lots, on railroads beds and ballast, under pipelines, under of-ways, around buildings and tank farms, along ditch banks and fence rows, around antenna installations and runways light, on crushed rock blankets and in similar areas where any plant growth is undesireable. The granular type is particularly useful for soil applications where a general foliage deposit is not required or may be undesireable, or inaccessible places where water is in limited amounts.
Although simazine is non-selective herbicide, there are certain species of plant resistant to it or are difficult to kill. Among the resistant species are buttercup (crooping), dewberry, false golden aster, nutgrass, and vasey grass.
